A Miniature Stainless Steel Recessed Spot With Four Beam Options
The LuxR Micro Recessed Spot is a tiny low voltage fitting that sits flush in a wall, step or paving. Four interchangeable beams let one small fitting do several jobs, from accenting a detail to washing a surface. The brand states it is ideal for marking boundaries, crosslighting paths and uplighting columns and walls.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is precision machined in marine grade 316 stainless steel. It has a clean, bright look that suits modern paving and rendered walls, and it is made to cope with wet weather. The light source is a pin mounted 1 watt Cree XPG-3 LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Beam and Colour
- Beam: 16º is narrow and punchy, 37º is a medium spread, 84º is a broad wash, and the oval beam gives a flatter, wider shape that suits walls.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
Push the fitting into a 21mm cut out and aim the beam at your surface. It runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it in retaining walls, risers, columns and paved borders where a small, tidy point of light is wanted. The swappable beam lets you fine tune the effect once it is in place.

Which beam angle suits my project?
Pick 16º to accent a detail, 37º for a medium spread, 84º for a broad wash, or oval for a wider, flatter shape across a wall.
What size hole do I need?
A 21mm cut out. The flange is 31.5mm wide and 2.2mm deep.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Should I choose stainless steel or copper?
Stainless steel keeps its bright, even finish, while copper darkens with a natural patina. Choose the one that suits the surfaces around it.
Can I change the beam later?
Yes. The optic can be swapped to change the beam width, and the LED can be replaced.
