A Miniature Copper Recessed Spot With Four Beam Options
The LuxR Micro Recessed Spot is a tiny low voltage fitting that sits flush in a wall, step or paving. You choose from four interchangeable beams, so the same small fitting can pick out a texture, wash a surface or light a feature. The brand states it is ideal for marking boundaries, crosslighting paths and uplighting columns and walls.
Copper That Weathers Naturally
This version is precision machined from copper. It starts warm and bright, then slowly develops a natural patina outdoors, so it blends into stone and brick over time. The light source is a pin mounted 1 watt Cree XPG-3 LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Beam and Colour
- Beam: 16º is a tight beam for accenting, 37º is a medium spread, 84º is a wide wash, and the oval beam stretches light into a flatter shape for walls.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
Push the fitting into a 21mm cut out and aim your chosen beam at the surface. It runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic is changed to alter the beam.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
It suits retaining walls, risers, columns and paved edges where you want a discreet point of light. Because the beam is swappable, you can fine tune the effect after installation.

Which beam should I choose?
Choose 16º for a tight accent, 37º for a medium spread, 84º for a broad wash, or oval for a wider, flatter shape across a wall.
What size hole do I need?
A 21mm cut out. The flange is 31.5mm across and only 2.2mm deep.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Will the copper change colour?
Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors, so the finish darkens and softens over time. This is normal.
Can I change the beam later?
Yes. The optic can be swapped to change the beam width, and the LED can be replaced.
