A Miniature Copper Path Light With a 360º Wash
The LuxR Micro Recessed Path Light is a tiny low voltage fitting that sits in the ground or a wall. Light comes out through a 3 facet 360º flange, which sends it outwards and downwards to spread an even wash across the ground or floor. That makes it a natural fit for lighting a path.
A facet is the opening that the light is emitted from.
Copper That Weathers Naturally
This version is machined from copper. It begins warm and bright, then gradually develops a natural patina, so it settles in beside planting, gravel and old brickwork. The light source is a replaceable 1 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Colour Temperature
- 2200K: a very warm glow.
- 2700K and 3000K: warm white for most gardens.
- 4000K: a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
Fit it into a 21mm cut out so the flange sits at the surface. It runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced, or swapped for a colour LED.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Set a row along the edge of a path, a patio or a border to mark the way at night. It works well in walls and risers as well as paving. The same design is also available in the larger M2 and M4 sizes.

Questions People Ask
What does the 360º flange do?
It spreads light all the way around the fitting, outwards and down, to make an even pool of light on the surface.
What size hole do I need?
A 21mm cut out. The flange is 31.5mm across and 9mm deep.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Will the copper change colour?
Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors, so it darkens and softens over time. This is normal.
