A Slim Ground Spike Pole Light in Seven Powder Coat Colours
The LuxR Modux 4 Single Pole Light in powder coat is a slim 25.4mm pole that pushes straight into the ground, with a single spot head on a short side arm at the top. It comes in a choice of seven colours so it can blend into the planting or match your garden hardware. The head adjusts, so you can aim the light exactly where you want it, whether that is a pathway, a garden feature or an individual plant or tree.
Powder Coated Aluminium
This version is made in CNC machined aluminium with a UV resistant polyester Eco matt powder coat. It is available in matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Matt black is a deep, non reflective black, and matt bronze is a dark brown that suits timber, bark and earth. The light source is a screw mounted 4 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 360 lumens with a CRI of 90+.
Choose Your Colour, Beam, Temperature and Lens
- Colour: pick from the seven powder coat finishes.
- Beam: 26º is a narrow beam for a single feature, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
- Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.
How It Works
Push the pole into the soil and adjust the head to aim the light. The fitting runs on low voltage from a 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. The LED is screw mounted and can be replaced later, so you can change the colour without buying a new fitting.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
The darker finishes disappear against foliage and mulch, while the lighter ones suit pale stone, rendered walls and modern planting schemes. Use it to pick out a pathway, a garden feature or a single plant from a slim fitting that stays out of the way. A snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Please contact us to check the right accessory for this fitting. Custom pole lengths are available, and a flange mount is offered for fixing to hard surfaces, so please contact us to discuss what you need.

Questions People Ask
What colours does the powder coat single pole light come in?
Seven finishes: matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Bronze is a dark brown.
Can I see a colour sample before I order?
Yes. Colours on screen are for guidance only, and physical colour swatches are available on request.
Which beam angle should I choose?
Choose 26º for a narrow beam on one feature, 36º for a medium spread, and 74º for a broad wash.
Does the single pole light come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting that needs a suitable 700mA constant current driver, sold separately. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
How tall is it?
The manufacturer's drawing gives 703mm from the top of the pole to the tip of the spike, with a pole diameter of 25.40mm. How much shows above ground depends on how deep you push it into the soil. The head sits to one side of the pole, and the drawing shows 104.5mm from the tip of the head to the far side of the pole.
Can I change the LED later?
Yes. The 4 watt Cree LED is screw mounted and can be replaced.
Can I get a longer pole or fix it to a hard surface?
Custom pole lengths are available, and a flange mount is offered for hard surfaces. Please contact us with what you need.
