LuxR Modux 4 Ceiling Mount - Powder Coat - Low Voltage

A Slim Ceiling Light in Seven Powder Coat Colours

The LuxR Modux 4 Ceiling Mount in powder coat is a slim surface mounted cylinder that fixes to a ceiling or soffit and sends its light downwards. It is only 40.6mm across, and the choice of seven colours means it can blend into the soffit or match your window frames and fascias. It gives smooth, even light under an eave, porch roof or patio cover.

Powder Coated Aluminium

This version is made in aluminium with a UV stable polyester Eco matt powder coat. It is available in matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Matt black is a deep, non reflective black, and matt bronze is a dark brown that suits timber and warm brickwork. The light source is a screw mounted 4 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 375 lumens with a CRI of 90+.

Choose Your Colour, Beam, Temperature and Lens

• Colour: pick from the seven powder coat finishes.
• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam that makes a tight pool of light, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the crispest beam, and frosted softens the edges.

How It Works

The fitting is surface mounted to the ceiling or soffit. It runs on low voltage from a remote 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. The LED can be replaced later, so you do not need a new fitting if it ever needs changing.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it under an eave, in a porch, over a front door, or across a patio or covered walkway, wherever you want soft, even light from above. Darker colours disappear into a dark soffit, while white and light finishes suit pale ceilings and render. A glare guard or a snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Questions People Ask

What colours does the powder coat ceiling mount come in?

Seven finishes: matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Bronze is a dark brown.

Can I see a colour sample before I order?

Yes. Colours on screen are for guidance only, and physical colour swatches are available on request.

Which beam angle should I choose?

Choose 26º for a narrow pool of light, 36º for a medium spread, and 74º for a broad wash of light.

Does the ceiling mount come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting that needs a suitable 700mA constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

How big is it?

The fitting is 75.8mm high and 40.6mm in diameter.

Can I change the LED later?

Yes. The 4 watt Cree LED can be replaced, so the fitting does not need replacing if the LED ever needs changing.
