A Compact Wall Down Light With a Clean, Minimal Form

The LuxR Modux 2 Wall Down Light is a small, discreet cylinder that fixes to the wall and sends a controlled beam of light down it. It is only 40.6mm across, so it highlights textured brick, render or stone, picks out steps and paths, and shows off architectural detail without drawing attention to itself.

Solid Brass

This version is made in solid brass, which has a warm gold colour and develops a natural patina as it ages outdoors. The plain cylinder suits traditional and contemporary buildings alike. The light source is a screw mounted 2 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 175 lumens with a CRI of 90+.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam that draws a tight line of light down the wall, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.

How It Works

The fitting fixes to the wall with a mounting plate. It runs on low voltage from a 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. The LED can be replaced later, so you can change the colour or the beam without buying a new fitting.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it beside a door, along a garden wall, at the side of steps or on a terrace, wherever you want light to fall down a wall surface. A glare guard or a snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Please contact us to check the right accessory for this fitting.
