Clear glass, aluminium cap

The bulb has a clear glass shell over an aluminium cap, a simple, unobtrusive finish that suits open or slender shades where the bulb itself is partly visible. Because the glass is clear rather than frosted, the light reads a little brighter and more defined, pairing well with glass, metal or exposed filament style fittings where you want the bulb to add its own character rather than hide behind an opaque diffuser.

How it works

This is a 5W LED bulb (roughly equivalent to a 40W traditional incandescent) with an E14 small Edison screw fitting, so it simply screws into any compatible fitting with no tools needed. It puts out 470 lumens of warm white light at 2700k, close to the glow of a traditional filament bulb, and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The LED is mercury free and flicker free, carries an A energy rating, and has a rated lifespan of 15,000 hours, so it is designed to go a long time between changes.
