LuxR Modux 2 Spot with Bracket & Spike - Powder Coat - Low Voltage

A Powder Coated Spot Supplied with a Bracket and a Spike

The LuxR Modux 2 Spot with Bracket and Spike is a very small low voltage outdoor spotlight. As the name says, it comes with both a bracket and a solid 175mm spike, so the same fitting can go into garden soil or be fixed in place with the bracket. The body is 41mm across and 65mm long.

UV Powder Coated Aluminium in Four Colours

This version is made from aluminium with a UV powder coat in Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt White or Matt Dark Grey. That makes it easy to match to a fence, a wall or a planter. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus, so plants and stonework look true to colour.

Choose Your Colour, Beam and Lens

• Powder coat colour: Matt Black is the most discreet at night, Matt Bronze is a warmer tone, and Matt White and Matt Dark Grey suit lighter or cooler schemes.
• Beam: 26º is the narrowest beam for a single feature, 36º is a little wider, and 74º spreads the light across a broader area.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Fit the head on the spike or the bracket and angle it towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

It is useful where you may want to light from a border one day and from a wall or post the next, or where a spike alone is not enough. Moonlight Design uses LuxR fittings in its own garden lighting designs and installations. The same design is also available as the M1 and M4.
