A Slim Ceiling Light in Seven Powder Coat Colours

The LuxR Modux 2 Ceiling Mount in powder coat is a slim cylinder that fixes to the ceiling and sends light straight down. It is only 40.6mm across, so it gives smooth, even light under an eave, in a porch or entryway, or over a patio, and the choice of seven colours lets it blend into the soffit or match your other fittings.

Powder Coated Aluminium

This version is made in aluminium with a UV stable polyester Eco matt powder coat. It is available in matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Matt black is a deep, non reflective black, and matt bronze is a dark brown. The light source is a screw mounted 2 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 175 lumens with a CRI of 90+.

Choose Your Colour, Beam, Temperature and Lens

• Colour: pick from the seven powder coat finishes.
• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the crispest beam, and frosted softens the edges.

How It Works

The fitting is surface mounted to the ceiling, soffit or eave. It runs on low voltage from a 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it under eaves, in porches and entryways, over a patio or in any covered outdoor area where you want a neat, low profile light. The lighter colours suit white or pale soffits, while the darker ones sit quietly against timber and dark cladding. A glare guard or a snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light.
