A Slim Powder Coated Pole Marker That Washes Light Without Glare
The LuxR Modux 1 Wayfinder is a miniature pole marker light just 25mm in diameter. Its optic spreads the light in an asymmetric wash, and the brand states that no light is emitted above the horizontal, so there is no glare for people walking past.
Four Powder Coat Colours
This version is UV powder coated aluminium, so you can choose a colour that disappears into the planting or stands out as a marker. The light source is a 1 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
- Matt Black: a dark, discreet post that fades into shadow.
- Matt Bronze: a warm tone that sits well among natural planting and bark.
- Matt White: a light post for pale gravel and stone.
- Matt Dark Grey: a modern neutral that works with paving and concrete.
Choose Your Colour Temperature
- 2200K: a very warm glow.
- 2700K and 3000K: warm white.
- 4000K: a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
The Wayfinder comes with a spiked base that pushes straight into the ground. A flange mount option for solid surfaces is available, bought separately. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
The Wayfinder suits washing walls, paths and low plantings from a slim, discreet post. Space several along a path edge to mark the way without bright spots.
