Two Adjustable Spot Heads on One Slim Ground Spike Pole
The LuxR Modux 1 Twin Pole Light carries two small ribbed spot heads on a single slim pole. One fitting in the ground can light two features, or one feature from two directions. The heads sit either side of a cross hub at the top of the pole and are adjustable, so you can aim the light exactly where you want it.
Solid Copper That Ages Naturally
This version is made in solid copper, with a warm reddish brown colour. Copper patinates over time, and the brand notes that this patina acts as a protective layer, so the colour will change gradually as the fitting weathers in the garden. The fitting uses pin mounted 1 watt Cree LEDs and draws 2 watts in total, which the brand states delivers around 320 lumens for the fitting, with a CRI of 90+. That is a gentle output, ideal for accent lighting rather than floodlighting.
Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens
- Beam: 30º is a tight spot for a single feature, and 53º is a wider cone for a shrub or group of plants. 50+17º is a further beam option from the brand, so please contact us if you would like help choosing.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
- Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.
How It Works
Push the pole into the soil and aim the heads towards your subjects. The fitting runs on low voltage from a 350mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. Custom pole lengths are available, and a flange mount can be supplied for fixing to a hard surface, so please contact us to discuss what you need.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it in a border to light two plants or a pair of features from one pole, beside a path or a patio, or to light a tree or sculpture from two sides. Copper suits natural planting, timber and brick. A glare guard can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Please contact us to check the right accessory for this fitting.

Questions People Ask
What is a twin pole light?
It is a ground spike pole with two adjustable spot heads at the top. You can aim each head at a different feature, or light the same feature from two sides.
How big is it?
The whole fitting is 738mm long from the tip of the spike to the top of the heads, and the heads span 189.2mm. The pole is 25.40mm in diameter. How much shows above ground depends on how deep you push it into the soil. Custom pole lengths are available, so please contact us if you need a different length.
Will the copper change colour?
Yes. Copper patinates over time, and the patina acts as a protective layer. The colour will gradually change as the fitting weathers.
How bright is it?
The fitting draws 2 watts, and the brand states it delivers around 320 lumens for the fitting. That suits subtle accent lighting.
Which beam angle should I choose?
Choose 30º to pick out one feature and 53º for a small shrub or a group of plants. If you are unsure, please contact us and we will help you choose.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting that needs a suitable 350mA constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Can I fix it to a hard surface?
The pole is designed to be pushed into the ground. A flange mount is available for hard surfaces, so please contact us to arrange it.
