A Copper Glare Guard for LuxR Modux 1
The LuxR Modux 1 Glare Guard does two jobs. It protects the eye from direct glare or sparkle from the light source, and it works as an adjustable shield that sends unwanted light away from passers by. This one is copper, so it develops a natural patina outdoors and matches a copper Modux 1 fitting as it ages.
How It Works
The guard turns a full 360º, so you can point the shield wherever you need it. It has a friction fit adjustable hood and flush fitted glass so water does not pool on it. It can be used with a hexcell louvre baffle if you want, and the chamfered end keeps turning even when tight, so it can be set to any position. It is suitable for use with Bracket Mount and Spike Spot models.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions People Ask
What does a glare guard do?
It shields your eye from the direct sparkle of the light source and lets you direct light away from people passing by.
Which lights does it fit?
It is suitable for LuxR Modux 1 Bracket Mount and Spike Spot models. For any other fitting, check the product you are fitting it to, or contact us.
Can I adjust the direction of the shield?
Yes. It rotates a full 360º and the chamfered end keeps turning even when tight, so you can set it to any position.
Will the copper change colour?
Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors, so it darkens and softens over time. This is normal.
