The Smallest Pole Spot in Seven Powder Coat Colours
The LuxR Modux 1 Pole Spot in powder coat is a very small low voltage spotlight on a 400mm pole. The head is only 30.95mm across, so it nestles into a border and does its work quietly, whether it is lighting a fern, a pot or a small tree trunk. Seven powder coat colours let it blend into the planting or match your other outdoor metalwork, and the head adjusts so you can aim the light exactly where you want it.
Powder Coated Aluminium
This version is made in aluminium with a UV stable polyester Eco matt powder coat, available in matt black, matt bronze, matt olive green, matt white, matt white birch, matt dark grey and matt silver star. Matt black is a deep, non reflective black, and matt bronze is a dark brown. Inside is a pin mounted 1 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 80 lumens, a soft output that suits gentle accent lighting.
Choose Your Colour, Beam, Temperature and Lens
- Colour: pick from the seven powder coat finishes.
- Beam: 15º is a very narrow, long reach beam, 30º is a tight spot for a single feature, 53º is a wider cone for a small shrub, and the oval beam stretches light sideways along a low wall or border edge.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a neutral white.
- Lens: clear gives the crispest beam, and frosted softens the edges.
How It Works
Push the pole into the soil and tilt the head to aim the light. The fitting runs on low voltage from a 350mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. The LED can be replaced later without changing the fitting.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Dark finishes disappear against foliage and mulch, while lighter ones suit pale stone and rendered walls. Use the M1 for smaller scale lighting such as ferns, grasses, patio pots and low shrubs. For a stronger light, the Modux 2 and Modux 4 pole spots use the same style of pole with a more powerful LED. We can also supply longer poles, so please contact us to discuss the length you need.
