A Slim Powder Coated Halo for Paths and Planting
The LuxR Modux 1 Halo is a slim pole light that casts a 360º wash of light downwards with little to no glare. The pole is 25mm across and 600mm long, topped with a 63mm wide head. It suits path edges, borders and low planting such as small shrubs and grasses.
UV Powder Coated Aluminium in Four Colours
This version is UV powder coated aluminium, so the colour is part of a tough finish made for the garden. The light source is a 1 watt Cree XPG-3 LED with a CRI of 90 plus, which helps foliage and paving look true to colour. The Halo is also made in stainless steel and copper if you prefer a bare metal look.
Choose Your Colour and Lamp Temperature
- Powder coat colour: Matt Black is the darkest and quietest, Matt Bronze is a warmer tone that sits well beside soil and bark, Matt White (Non-Returnable) stands out as a crisp marker, and Matt Dark Grey (Non-Returnable) is a softer alternative to black.
- Lamp temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
The Halo comes with a spiked base that pushes straight into the ground. A flange mount for solid surfaces can be bought separately. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied and enters the pole 215mm from the bottom. The LED can be replaced, or swapped for a colour LED.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use the Halo to mark the edge of a path, or to wash light down over low shrubs and ornamental grasses. A row of them spaced along a border builds an even, glare free rhythm. Moonlight Design uses LuxR in its own garden lighting designs and installations.

How tall is the Modux 1 Halo?
The pole is 600mm long with a further 25mm for the top, and the head is 63mm across. The pole itself is 25mm in diameter.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Can I fix it to a hard surface?
Yes. It comes with a spike for soil, and a flange mount for solid surfaces can be bought separately.
Which powder coat colours cannot be returned?
Matt White and Matt Dark Grey are marked Non-Returnable in the colour selector, so they cannot be returned once ordered. Physical colour swatches are available on request.
Can I change the LED later?
Yes. The Cree LED can be replaced, or substituted for a colour LED.
