A Tiny Powder Coated Spotlight on a Fixing Bracket

The LuxR Modux 1 with Bracket is a very small low voltage spotlight on a stiff metal bracket. It fixes to almost any surface with a single 4mm diameter screw, so you can mount it on a fence, wall, pergola or timber post and aim it where you need it. The head is only 31mm across and 42mm long.

Four Powder Coat Colours

This version is UV powder coated aluminium, so you can match it to the surface it is fixed to. The light source is a 1 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.

• Matt Black: a discreet dark finish that works on timber, slate and dark fencing.
• Matt Bronze: a warm tone for natural timber and stone.
• Matt White: blends into white render and painted surfaces.
• Matt Dark Grey: a neutral that suits concrete and grey cladding.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 30º is a narrow beam for a single feature, 53º is wider, and the oval beam stretches the light into a wider, flatter shape.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Screw the bracket to your surface and angle the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it where a spike is not practical, such as lighting a tree from a post or washing a fence or wall from a short distance. If you want more output, the same design is also available as the larger M2 and M4.

How do I fix the bracket?

The stiff metal bracket fixes to any surface with a 4mm diameter screw. The head can then be angled towards your subject.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered NICEIC electrician installs it.

Which beam angle should I choose?

Choose 30º to light a single feature, 53º for a larger shrub or small tree, and the oval beam for a broader, flatter wash across a wall or hedge.

Can I see the powder coat colours before I buy?
