A mains spotlight in a finish that changes with age
The Hunza Wall Spot GU10 mounts to a wall and throws a directional beam at a single feature, a path, a specimen tree, or a piece of architecture, rather than washing an entire surface. Running on GU10 mains keeps installation simple, with no transformer to fit, just a standard mains connection. The head sits on a fully adjustable arm giving 360 degree rotation and 0 to 90 degree elevation. This version is solid copper.
The copper finish
The head and wall plate are solid copper rather than a plated finish, so they weather naturally outdoors, moving from bright and polished toward a darker brown and, in time, toward green verdigris in some settings. Hunza treats this as part of the design rather than something to prevent. The short pivot connecting the head to the wall plate is brass, standard across the range.
How It Works
Once set, the arm holds the angle you have chosen, so the beam stays pointed exactly where you aimed it. The head measures 63.5mm in diameter and 90mm long, with a 45mm arm and a 75mm diameter, 28mm deep wall base.
It is not supplied with a bulb, and a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp is required to keep the IP66 rating and warranty valid. The same fixture is also available as a low voltage version if you would rather run it through a transformer.
Where It Works Best
Good for picking out single features: a specimen tree, a piece of sculpture, steps, or an architectural detail, particularly where copper's warmth and slow change in tone over the years suits the setting.
Our Experience With Hunza
Moonlight Design has specified Hunza since we were founded in 2003, over 23 years across their range. The lifestyle photographs on this page are our own, taken on real installations rather than supplied as stock imagery, and show the kind of pooled, directional light this fixture produces once mounted and aimed. The mains copper Wall Spot is a straightforward option where running low voltage cable and a transformer is not practical.

Questions People Ask
Does this need a transformer?
No. It runs on standard GU10 mains, so there is no transformer to fit, unlike the low voltage version of the same fixture.
How long before the copper darkens?
It varies with local rainfall and air quality, but most copper Hunza fittings visibly darken within the first year or two outdoors and continue to deepen after that.
Can this replace an existing mains fitting?
Yes, provided the existing circuit is suitable for outdoor use and checked by a qualified electrician. It wires in the same way as a standard GU10 mains fitting.
Can I angle the beam straight down the wall?
Yes. The arm gives 0 to 90 degree elevation and full 360 degree rotation, so it can be set anywhere from a near horizontal beam to pointing straight down.
