A Low Voltage Wall Washer in Stainless Steel
The Hunza Wall Down Light has a fixed head built for one task: an even wash of light down a wall, pier or run of cladding, rather than a pointed beam. This version is solid 316 stainless steel and runs on low voltage.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
316 is the marine grade Hunza uses across its metal range, picked for how it copes with damp and salt air. It keeps a constant look instead of changing colour like copper, though it can develop a light surface tarnish in some conditions, which washing keeps in check.
How It Works
- Once mounted, the head stays in the direction you set, up or down the wall.
- Suits timber, masonry or stone, and arrives with a mounting base and stainless steel fixing screws.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and length 75mm, on a 75mm diameter base 28mm deep, supplied with 1m of cable.
- A low voltage, parallel wired fitting that needs a transformer, sold separately.
- Not supplied with a lamp. A Hunza approved MR16 LED is required to keep the IP rating and warranty valid.
- Rated IP66, with a 10 year warranty.

How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting
We have worked with Hunza since Moonlight Design began in 2003, and this stainless steel Down Light is a regular choice where a client wants a finish that will not change character. Good to Know
- Made to order, usually dispatched within 2 to 3 days. If your choice is out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Within 14 days of delivery it can be returned if unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The lamp is not included. Use a Hunza approved MR16 LED.
- It needs a transformer, sold separately, because it is low voltage.
- Installation by a registered NICEIC electrician is recommended.
Questions People Ask
Will the stainless steel rust or fade?
It is 316 marine grade steel, chosen to resist salt air and damp. It can develop a light surface tarnish in some conditions, which a wash removes.
Is a transformer needed?
Yes. As a low voltage fitting it needs a transformer, which is sold separately.
Can I aim the light after fitting?
The head is fixed once mounted, so decide up or down at installation.
Is a lamp included?

Is it rated for outdoors?
