Moonlighting Without the Glare

Fitting a light high in a tree gives a lovely moonlit effect, but you do not want the lamp shining into anyone's eyes. The Hunza Glare Guard Moonlight protects the eye from direct glare and sparkle and directs unwanted light away from passers by. It is a cylinder rather than having the front cut at an angle, and it is intended for luminaires such as an NPS Spot or Pond Lite mounted or suspended in a tree.

316 Stainless Steel Finish

Made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, it measures 63.5mm in diameter and 100mm in length. Hunza recommends 316 stainless steel for contemporary settings, and notes it may need regular cleaning to avoid surface staining near the sea. Copper and powder coated versions are available too.

How It Fits

• The guard screws onto the luminaire in place of the standard lens ring and does not affect the IP rating of the fitting.
• It is fully adjustable through 360 degrees.
• A second lens, such as Hunza's frosted lens, can be fitted to stop debris building up inside the guard.
• Hunza's datasheet gives the stainless steel Moonlight guard a weight of 0.37kg.
