A Mains Copper Wall Washer

The Hunza Wall Down Light GU10 uses a fixed head to lay an even wash of light down a wall, pier or length of cladding. GU10 mains means no transformer, just a standard connection. This version is solid copper.

Solid Copper That Darkens With Age

This is solid copper, not plated and not a copper effect coating, so it weathers outdoors and does not hold one fixed colour. It moves from bright polished copper toward brown and, in some environments, green verdigris. Hunza designs the finish to do this, and it is not a fault.

How It Works

• The head is fixed once mounted, so you set it up or down the wall as you fit it.
• Suits timber, masonry or stone, with a mounting base and stainless steel screws supplied.
• Body diameter 63.5mm and length 90mm, on a 75mm diameter base 28mm deep.
• GU10 mains and wired in parallel, so no transformer or driver is involved.
• Use a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp, not supplied, to keep the IP rating and warranty valid.
• Rated IP66 with a 10 year warranty.

Questions People Ask

Does copper need any maintenance?
No. It is meant to weather naturally from bright copper toward brown and eventually green, and nothing needs polishing unless you want to slow the change.

Is a transformer needed?
No. It wires straight into a standard mains circuit.

Is a lamp included?
No. A Hunza approved GU10 LED is sold separately.

Can I choose which way it points?
Yes, at installation. After that the head is fixed.

Is there a low voltage version?
Yes, the same fitting is made for low voltage and runs through a transformer with an MR16 lamp.
