Mains Powered Garden Spot in Stainless Steel

If you would rather avoid a transformer, this Hunza Stake Spot takes a GU10 lamp and runs straight from the mains, with no driver required. The head swivels to aim the beam, and the 150mm stake holds it in the ground. It is cut from marine grade 316 stainless steel, a sensible choice for a fitting that lives outdoors all year.

A Steel Finish That Stays Consistent

Solid 316 stainless steel holds its brushed look without the colour changes you see on copper or bronze. In some environments it can pick up a light surface tarnish, and washing it regularly keeps that under control. Hunza also makes this spot in copper and in powder coated aluminium if you prefer a different look.

How It Works

• Mains powered, with no driver required.
• The GU10 lamp holder takes a Hunza approved GU10 LED, such as the Hunza approved 4W LED lamp. The lamp is not supplied.
• Using a Hunza approved lamp is what keeps the IP66 rating and the 10 year warranty valid.
• Body diameter 62.5mm and body length 90mm, with a 150mm stake.
• Wired in parallel, and the head is adjustable after installation.

Questions People Ask

Does this stake spot need a driver or transformer?
No. It is a mains fitting and no driver is required. You only need to supply a Hunza approved GU10 LED lamp.

What happens if I use a different GU10 lamp?
The IP rating and warranty depend on using a Hunza approved LED, so a different lamp could void them.

Will the stainless steel rust or change colour?
It is marine grade 316 stainless steel with a consistent finish, though it can pick up a light surface tarnish in some environments. Regular washing keeps it in check.
