An adjustable spotlight in a finish built to last

The Hunza Spike Spot Adjustable mounts on a ground spike rather than a wall bracket, pushing straight into a border, lawn edge or planting bed. The head tilts and rotates so you can aim the beam precisely, at a specimen tree, a piece of planting, or a stretch of path.

This version is solid 316 stainless steel and runs on low voltage.

The stainless steel finish

316 grade is the marine specification Hunza uses across its metal range, chosen for how it holds up against damp and salt air. It keeps a consistent brushed look rather than changing colour the way copper does, though Hunza notes it can develop a light surface tarnish in some conditions, which regular washing keeps in check.

How it works

Once pushed into the ground, the head can be angled and turned to point the beam at whatever you're lighting. It measures 63.5mm across the head, 75mm along the body, with a 200mm spike and 1m of cable supplied. It isn't supplied with a bulb, and a Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp is required to keep the IP66 rating and warranty valid. Being low voltage, it needs a transformer, sold separately. The same fixture is also available as a GU10 mains version.

Where it works best

Good anywhere you want a single point of light without a wall to fix to: freestanding trees, island beds, statues, or a path through open lawn. Stainless steel's neutral tone tends to sit quietly against most planting and hard landscaping.

Questions People Ask

Will the stainless steel finish rust? No. This is 316 marine grade stainless steel, the same specification Hunza uses across its outdoor range, chosen for its resistance to damp and salt air. It can develop a light surface tarnish in some conditions, but regular washing keeps this in check and it will not rust through.

Can I fix this light to a wall instead of the ground? No, it's designed to push into soil or lawn on its integral ground spike. Hunza makes separate wall fixed spotlights for wall mounting.

Do I need a transformer for this light? Yes. This is the low voltage version, so it needs a suitable transformer to step down the mains supply, sold separately. The same fitting is also available as a GU10 mains version if you'd rather avoid a transformer circuit.

What bulb does it take? A Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp, sold separately. Using anything else can affect both the IP66 rating and the warranty.
