Stainless Steel Wall Washing on an Existing Mains Circuit

Hunza's Pure LED Wall Down Light Retro in stainless steel gives a fixed, downward wash of light from a built in Cree LED. Retro is the name for the mains wired version, which connects to a standard supply and so can take the place of an older fitting without any low voltage cabling.

Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel

The body is solid marine grade 316 stainless steel, a metal that holds a steady look outdoors instead of ageing visibly the way copper does. It can pick up a light surface tarnish in some conditions, and a wash with water brings it back.

How It Works

The head is fixed, so the direction of the wash is chosen at installation.
The Cree LED chip is rated at 420 lumens from 4 watts, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
Pick a colour temperature of 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, a 15, 25, 38 or 60 degree beam and a clear or frosted lens at the point of ordering.
Body diameter 63.5mm and length 75mm, with a 78mm diameter base 55mm deep and 1m of cable supplied.
Runs on the mains with no separate driver. It cannot be dimmed.
IP66 rated and covered by a 10 year warranty, with 5 years on the LED.

Made to order, with dispatch usually inside 2 to 3 days. Where the specification you want is out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
You can return it within 14 days of delivery if it is unused, uninstalled and still in its original packaging.
The LED is integrated, so no separate lamp is needed.
Check your colour temperature, beam angle and lens before ordering, because these are set when the fitting is made.
We suggest having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Why is it called Retro?
The name marks the mains wired version, suited to replacing an existing fitting on a mains circuit.

Will stainless steel tarnish outdoors?
It can show a light surface tarnish in some conditions. Washing it removes the marks, and it does not change colour the way copper does.

Does the LED need replacing like a bulb?
There is no bulb to buy. The Cree chip is a replaceable part if it ever needs attention.
