Hunza Pure LED Wall Down Light Retro - Copper - Mains

An integrated LED wash light for existing mains circuits

The Hunza Pure LED Wall Down Light Retro carries the same fixed head, one direction wash of light as the standard Down Light, but the light source is built in rather than a replaceable lamp. "Retro" refers to how it's wired: designed to go onto an existing mains circuit, useful where you're replacing an older fitting without rewiring for low voltage.

The copper finish

This version is solid copper, a raw metal finish that will weather and darken outdoors over time rather than staying a fixed colour, something Hunza designs the finish to do rather than prevent.

How it works

Hunza's PureLED technology puts the LED chip inside the fitting itself, so there's no lamp to buy or replace, though Hunza notes the parts are serviceable if anything does need attention down the line. You choose the colour temperature, beam angle and lens when ordering: this version comes in 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, in 15°, 25°, 38° or 60° beam angles, with a clear or frosted lens. At 78mm high, 114mm wide and with a 55mm projection, it's a slightly larger fitting than the standard mains Down Light, which houses the integrated driver.

Where it works best

It suits the same long runs of wall, gable ends and cladding as the standard Down Light, but is worth considering specifically where you're upgrading an existing mains fitting and don't want to introduce low voltage wiring and a transformer to the job.
