An Integrated LED Wash Light Finished to Match Your Scheme
The Hunza Pure LED Wall Down Light is a cylindrical, wall mounted fitting with a fixed head that gives a one way wash of light down a wall. The LED is a Cree XHP50.2 plug and play board built into the fitting, so there is no lamp to buy. This version runs on low voltage and comes in Hunza's powder coated aluminium finish.
The Powder Coated Finish
The body is powder coated aluminium. It is available in seven colours: Black, Dark Grey, White, Birch, Bronze, Olive Green and Silver Star. Black and Bronze are Hunza's standard shades; the rest are made to order. Hunza notes colours are for indication only, with swatches available on request.
How It Works
- Output is 600 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA, a delivered efficacy of around 100 lumens per watt. At 700mA it gives 420 lumens from 4 watts, and at 350mA 240 lumens from 2 watts.
- CRI is 90 or more at 3000K, and Hunza quotes an LED life of 50,000 hours to L70.
- Choose your colour temperature (2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K), beam angle (15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees) and a clear or frosted lens when you order.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and body length 75mm, on a 78mm diameter base 28mm deep. A mounting base and stainless steel screws are supplied.
- Low voltage and wired in series, so it needs a remote LED driver, sold separately.
- Dimmable with a suitable dimmable driver.
- Rated IP66, with a 5 year warranty on the aluminium and on the electronics.
- Hunza makes a glare guard, snoot, hex cell louvre and wall box adaptor for the Down Light range if you want to control glare or fit to a wall box.
Where It Works Best
Hunza designs the Wall Down Light for timber, masonry and stone surfaces, and the fixed head can face down or up. It suits runs of wall, gable ends and cladding, and is worth considering where you want the fitting's colour to match the building, since powder coat gives more colour choice than the metal finishes.
Planning Your Hunza Lighting With Us
Hunza fittings have been part of our garden lighting schemes since 2003, and we supply and install them ourselves. The powder coated PureLED Down Light is a common choice where the client wants the fixture to disappear into the wall colour by day. Our Design Service page has photographs of finished schemes of ours and explains how we plan, draw up and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. Come and have a look if you are choosing colours for a whole run of fittings.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your colour or specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns: Matt Black and Matt Bronze can be returned within 14 days of delivery if unused, uninstalled and in original packaging. Matt Olive Green, Matt White, Matt White Birch, Matt Dark Grey and Matt Silver Star are made to order colours and marked non returnable, final sale unless the item arrives faulty or damaged.
- The LED is a field replaceable board built into the fitting, so there is no lamp to buy.
- Wiring is in series, so a remote driver is needed and sold separately.
- Check your colour, colour temperature, beam angle and lens choice carefully before ordering, as these are made to order specifications.
- Installation by a registered NICEIC electrician is our recommendation.
Questions People Ask
What colours does the powder coated PureLED come in?
Seven shades: Black, Dark Grey, White, Birch, Bronze, Olive Green and Silver Star, with Black and Bronze as the standard colours and the rest made to order.
What if the LED fails?
There is no ordinary lamp to change. Hunza describes the LED as a plug and play, field replaceable board, so a fault can typically be dealt with by replacing the board rather than the whole fitting.
Do I need to buy a driver as well?
Yes. It runs in series with a remote driver, sold separately, rather than having the driver built in.
How bright is it?
600 lumens from 6 watts at 1050mA. Running it at 700mA gives 420 lumens, and at 350mA 240 lumens.
What lens and colour temperature options are available?
Four colour temperatures, 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K, four beam angles, 15, 25, 38 or 60 degrees, and a clear or frosted lens, all set when you place your order.
Can I return it if I order the wrong colour?
Black and Bronze can be returned within 14 days if unused and in original packaging. The made to order colours are final sale unless faulty, so a swatch is worth requesting first.
