Looking straight into a bright lamp is uncomfortable, and the Hunza Glare Guard is there to prevent it. It protects the eye from direct glare and sparkle, and acts as an adjustable shield that sends stray light away from anyone walking past.

Powder Coated Aluminium in Seven Colours

This guard is powder coated aluminium, 63.5mm in diameter and 70mm long. The colour is baked on, and you can choose from Black, Dark Grey, White, Birch, Bronze, Olive Green and Silver Star. Colours are indicative only, so ask us if you would like swatches. Our copper and stainless steel versions are the natural metal choices.

How It Fits

• The guard screws onto the luminaire in place of the standard lens ring and does not affect the IP rating of the fitting.
• It is fully adjustable through 360 degrees.
• A second lens, such as Hunza's frosted lens, can be fitted to stop debris building up inside the guard.
• Hunza lists it as suitable for many of its fittings, including the NPS Spot, Wall Spot, Pole Spot, Pond Lite, Spike Spots and Down Lite. Check your model with us before ordering.
• Hunza's datasheet gives the aluminium Glare Guard a weight of 0.15kg.

Our Lighting Design Service

We have worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. Which colours does the powder coated Glare Guard come in?

Can I return it if I change my mind?
Matt Black and Matt Bronze can be returned within 14 days if unused and uninstalled. The other colours are made to order and cannot be returned unless faulty or damaged.

Does it change the IP rating?
No. Hunza states that the glare guard does not affect the IP rating of the luminaire.
