A Pair of Adjustable Spots in Warm Copper
Two lamp heads, one wall fixing. The Hunza Pure LED Twin Wall Spot Retro in solid copper is built for walls where you want light in more than one place, such as a path in front and a planted bed or a piece of masonry to the side. Both heads rotate through 360 degrees and tilt from 0 to 90 degrees, so you can set them once and adjust them again whenever the garden changes. The mains Retro version has its driver built in and plugs into your mains circuit without a remote driver.
Solid Copper Made to Age Outdoors
Copper here is the real thing, solid copper rather than a coating. Hunza designs it to be left outside and allowed to weather. It starts bright and warm, then deepens to brown and, given time, takes on the soft green of an old copper roof. That change is part of the appeal and is not a defect. Prefer a finish that stays as it is? Look at the stainless steel or powder coated versions of this fitting.
How It Works
- Two independently aimed heads sharing 420 lumens from 4 watts, with a CRI of 90 or more at 3000K.
- An integrated Cree LED chip with serviceable parts.
- Colour temperatures of 2200K, 2700K, 3000K and 4000K are available, along with beam angles of 15, 25, 38 and 60 degrees and a choice of clear or frosted lens.
- Bodies measure 63.5mm across and 75mm long, with 45mm arms and a 146mm bar. The 78mm round base is 55mm deep and comes with 1m of cable.
- Parallel wired and mains powered, with no remote driver required. It cannot be dimmed.
- IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty and 5 years on the LED.
Where It Works Best
- On the side of a house, shining down a path while lighting a nearby shrub
- Beside a garage or shed door, giving task light and a wash on the wall
- On brick or stone, where warm copper sits well against the material
- At a corner of a patio, with one head on the seating and one on the planting
Planned and Fitted by Moonlight Design
We have worked with Hunza since 2003 at Moonlight Design. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them in real gardens. Our Design Service page carries photographs of our own completed schemes, and shows how we plan, draw up and install each one with NICEIC registered electricians. If you are weighing up where to put your lights, it is a good place to visit first.
Good to Know
- Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- Solid copper will darken and patina outdoors. This is normal and not a fault.
- Finish colours shown online are a guide, and swatches can be requested.
- We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Questions People Ask
Will the copper keep its bright colour?
No. It is solid copper and is designed to weather, moving from a bright warm tone to brown and eventually a soft green.
Is a remote driver needed?
No. The driver is built into this mains version, so no remote driver is required.
Can each head be aimed on its own?
Yes. Each head turns through 360 degrees and tilts through 0 to 90 degrees independently of the other.
Does it work with a dimmer?
No. Dimming is not available on the mains Retro version.
