Light Above and Below a Gate Pillar
The Hunza Pillar Light is a small wall mounted cylinder that throws light upwards and downwards at the same time. Fixed to a gateway pillar, a column or the side of an entrance, it gives the masonry a dramatic, sculpted look after dark. This is the low voltage version, and it is also made as a GU10 mains fitting.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
The body is machined from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps a consistent brushed finish through the seasons. In some environments stainless can pick up a light surface tarnish, and a regular wash with water keeps that in check. Choose it where you want a cool, clean metal look that sits quietly against brick, stone or render.
How It Works
- Light travels both up and down, so one fitting covers the wall above and the wall below it.
- It takes an MR16 lamp, which is not supplied. A Hunza approved LED lamp must be used to keep the IP rating and the warranty.
- Body diameter 63.5mm and body length 139mm, on a 75mm diameter base that is 28mm deep, supplied with 1m of cable.
- Low voltage and wired in parallel, so it needs a transformer, sold separately.
- IP66 rated, with a 10 year warranty.

- On the piers either side of a driveway entrance
- Along a brick or stone boundary wall where you want a rhythm of light
- Beside steps or a front door, washing the wall in both directions
- On a freestanding column to give it height after dark

- Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
- The lamp is not included and must be bought separately.

Questions People Ask
Is a lamp included with this pillar light?
No. The fitting is supplied without a lamp, and a Hunza approved LED must be used to maintain the IP rating and warranty.
Does it run straight from the mains?
No. This is the low voltage version and needs a transformer. A GU10 mains version of the pillar light is available separately.
Will the stainless steel tarnish outdoors?
Marine grade 316 stainless keeps a consistent finish, though a light surface tarnish can appear in some environments, and washing it regularly keeps it in check.
