Hunza Hanging Light - Stainless Steel - Low Voltage

A Spotlight You Can Hang From Almost Anywhere

The Hunza Hanging Light is a single spotlight made to be hung from a high vantage point such as a tree branch, a fence or an overhang. Light falls from above in the way moonlight does, giving a soft and natural effect over the lawn, path or planting beneath. It comes with a 3m cable and a 3m stainless steel hanging wire, so it is ready to be put up.

316 Stainless Steel Finish

This version is made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps the same brushed look year after year. In some environments it can pick up a light surface tarnish, and a regular wash keeps it in check. Hunza gives it a 10 year warranty.

How It Works

• The body measures 63.5mm across and 75mm long.
• Supplied with 3m of cable and 3m of stainless steel hanging cable.
• Rated IP66 and wired in parallel.
• The lamp is not supplied. A Hunza approved MR16 LED lamp must be used to maintain the IP rating and warranty.
• Because it runs on low voltage, it also needs a transformer.

Where It Works Best

• Hung in a mature tree to wash light down over a lawn or seating area
• Slung from a fence post or pergola beam to light a border below
• Under an overhang or canopy, where you want light to fall from above
• Anywhere a ground fixing would not give a high enough angle

How We Plan and Install Hunza Lighting

Moonlight Design has worked with Hunza since 2003. We design lighting schemes for gardens, supply Hunza fittings and install them with NICEIC registered electricians. • Made to order: usually ships within 2 to 3 days. If your specification is temporarily out of stock, allow 3 to 5 weeks.
• Returns accepted within 14 days if the fitting is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.
• No lamp is supplied, and it must be a Hunza approved LED to keep the warranty.
• Plan for a transformer to step the supply down to low voltage.
• Stainless steel can develop a light surface tarnish in some places. Washing keeps it looking good.
• We recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

What do I get in the box for hanging it?

Is a lamp included?
No. You buy the lamp separately, and it must be a Hunza approved MR16 LED to keep the IP rating and warranty.

Is it waterproof enough for a tree?
It is rated IP66, which is suitable for outdoor use in all weather.

Will the stainless steel change colour?
It keeps a consistent finish, though in some environments it can gain a light surface tarnish that regular washing keeps under control.
