The story behind Flambeau

Flambeau's founder, New Orleans businessman Joe McKearn, first came across the work of designer Paul Gruer in late 1999 and went on to license Gruer's lamp, sconce and chandelier designs under the Flambeau name from 2000. Gruer's earlier career designing fine jewellery shows up in the level of detail on pieces like Camilia, where sculpted resin and glass beadwork are treated with the same care as a piece of jewellery might be. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has brought Flambeau's designs to the UK, manufacturing them under licence for 220 to 240V systems with CE certification.
