The story behind Feiss

Nautical, coastal lighting is the reference point for the Lighthouse collection, a theme that sits at some distance from Feiss's own beginnings in the South Bronx in 1955, when Murray Feiss wired imported European porcelain figurines into lamp bases and his mother Rose hand sewed the shades. Three generations of family ownership carried that small business to become one of America's best known names in decorative lighting, spanning chandeliers, pendants, wall lights and outdoor fittings, its heritage now part of Visual Comfort & Co. Since 2012, Elstead Lighting has represented Feiss in the UK and Europe, adapting collections such as Lighthouse, here in this fuller medium wall lantern form, for 220 to 240V electrical systems, finished in Textured Black.
