Yes, the bulb is visible through the clear glass. If you prefer the bulb to be less obvious, our frosted or smoked glass versions diffuse the light and hide the filament.

Is there any diffusion happening?
No, clear glass doesn't soften or diffuse the light at all. What you see is the bulb at full brightness, which makes for very functional, businesslike lighting.

Can I use this in a bathroom?
No, it's IP20 rated so it's only suitable for dry indoor areas. Any steam or water spray would damage the fitting.
