Copper Glass and Gold Metalwork, Playing Off Each Other
Six tall cylinders in a deep copper tone hang from a french gold rail on this Tamworth pendant, creating a rich, complementary colour pairing that feels less warm than cognac but more refined than bright chrome. Each cylinder holds a G9 lamp, so light travels through the copper glass creating a glow rather than a sharp point, and spreads evenly along the length of the rail.
Choosing Your Finish
French gold and copper make a natural partnership: the gold is slightly warm and dusty, while the copper glass adds depth and richness without the brownish cast of cognac. If you're drawn to warmer metallics and mid range glass tones, this combination hits a sweet spot. The Tamworth is available in many other finish combinations if you prefer brighter metals or clearer glass instead.
How It Works
Light passes through six separate G9 positions and filters through copper coloured glass, giving you a warm but not overly orange glow in the room. The fitting is Class I wired, requiring an earth connection when installed. IP20 protection suits dry interior spaces, so it's not a choice for wet bathrooms or outdoor mounting.
Where It Works Best
This pendant reads as a confident piece above a kitchen island, a long dining table or even a generous hallway with good ceiling height. At 101cm across with up to 220cm of drop available, it scales to spaces where you want light running the length of a run rather than concentrated at one point. The colour combination particularly suits kitchens and dining spaces with existing gold or brass hardware, or rooms with warm wood finishes.
Design Details
The Tamworth collection is built on the principle of pairing metalwork with cylinder cluster detailing, and this tall shade version in copper glass is one of the most distinctive combinations available. The copper deepens the visual weight of the fitting without making it feel heavy or dark. Each cylinder is secured firmly, so the whole pendant reads as a unified design rather than loose components.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between this and the cognac glass version?
Copper glass is richer and slightly deeper in colour than cognac, with less of a brown tone. If you want something warmer than clear but less amber than cognac, copper sits right in the middle and pairs beautifully with french gold.
Will it work in a modern kitchen or is it only for traditional?
It works in both. The tall cylinder shape feels contemporary, and the copper and gold combination is equally at home in a modern palette as a traditional one. It's the styling of your other metalwork and finishes that determines whether it reads as modern or traditional.
