Warm Colour, Deeper Glass
This linear pendant looks similar to its short cylinder cousins but swaps clear glass for cognac toned shades, creating a warmer, richer light output that feels almost like candlelight in comparison. The French gold frame accentuates that warmth, making it an ideal choice for dining spaces where you want atmosphere rather than forensic brightness.
Choosing Your Finish
French gold metalwork combined with cognac glass produces a particularly warm aesthetic. The glass is amber toned rather than smoky, so it's less neutral and more deliberately warm in character. Other finish combinations exist across the Tamworth range if you want to vary the warmth level.
How It Works
Six G9 sources sit behind the cognac shades, their light filtered through amber toned glass for a warm glow. It needs Class I earthed wiring at installation. The IP20 rating means this is a dry indoor fitting only, unsuitable for anywhere moisture or splashing water might occur.
Where It Works Best
This pendant shines (literally) in dining rooms or kitchen spaces where warmth and ambience matter as much as pure illumination. It's less suitable for task lighting over a work surface where you need to see colours accurately, but ideal where you want the light to complement wine, food, and conversation.
Design Details
The depth of the cognac glass means more light is absorbed and warmed as it passes through, a characteristic that changes the whole feel of the fitting. Combined with iron framework, it's substantially warmer in tone than chrome or polished silver finishes, though structurally identical to other short cylinder versions in the range.

Questions People Ask
Is cognac glass very dark?
It's amber or honey toned, not dark. It filters light to make it warmer rather than dimmer, so you still get good illumination with a golden character.
Does the warmth of the glass affect brightness?
The light output is slightly softer than through clear glass, but dimmable bulbs let you fine tune brightness if needed.
Is it only for dining?
Primarily, yes. Task lighting over a kitchen work surface works better with clearer glass so you can see what you're doing. But over an island in a warmer kitchen scheme, it's lovely.
