Soft Light Through Frosted Inner Globes
Six round shades hold frosted inner globes that diffuse light before it enters the room, giving you warmth and glow rather than brightness. The outer glass in cognac and the inner frosting work together to filter light from six G9 lamps along the linear bar, creating that gentle, lived in quality that good task lighting should have without harshness.
Choosing Your Finish
The pairing of polished chrome with cognac and frosted glass is carefully balanced: the chrome provides visual structure, while the frosted and cognac tones soften the light considerably. If frosted glass feels too diffuse for your taste or you want sharper light definition, the Tamworth is available with clear and single tone shades that don't have the inner diffusing globe.
How It Works
Light travels from each G9 position through the frosted inner globe, which breaks up the beam and spreads it evenly, then passes through the cognac outer glass. The result is a warm, comfortable glow across the space. Class I wiring means an earth connection is required during installation. IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments only, not bathrooms or outdoor areas.
Where It Works Best
This pendant works wherever you want soft light that doesn't create glare or hot spots: above a dining table, a kitchen island, or in a hallway where you want ambience rather than task light. The round shades have a slightly softer visual character than cylinders, making them an easy fit in both contemporary and more traditional spaces. The 214cm drop gives you plenty of flexibility on ceiling height.
Design Details
The Tamworth collection pairs metal frames with shaped glass shades, and this frosted inner globe version represents a more technical approach to diffusion. Rather than relying on glass colour alone to soften light, the inner frosted surface scatters the beam before it leaves the fitting, which gives you better control over how light behaves in the room. The round shade silhouette, combined with this diffusion strategy, creates a gentler visual presence than angular cylinder designs.

Questions People Ask
Will the frosted globe make the light too dim?
It will be softer than clear glass versions, but not dark. The frosting diffuses light rather than blocking it, so you still get adequate illumination, just without glare or harsh shadows on the ceiling or walls.
Can I use bright white bulbs or do I need warm white?
You can use either, but the cognac glass already adds warmth, so bright white bulbs might look slightly cool passing through it. Warm white (2700K) is a better match to the colour temperature the cognac glass is designed for.
