Warm Linear Light for Tighter Spaces
This linear pendant trades the tall cylinder drama of its sibling for shorter, more compact shades in cognac glass, perfect for kitchens and dining rooms where ceiling height matters. The cognac tone brings rich amber warmth to the light, and French gold metalwork complements that golden quality rather than fighting it. Stretched horizontally, it creates a line of glow without demanding much clearance above.
Choosing Your Finish
Cognac glass sits between copper and smoked in its warmth profile, leaning toward the golden side without the full opacity of smoked. Paired with French gold, the two warmths reinforce each other, creating an atmosphere that feels genuinely cosy. The short cylinder proportions keep it visually lighter than taller shade versions. Other variants of this linear design exist with different glass and finish choices if you want to explore alternatives.
How It Works
Three G9 sockets run along the bar, letting you dial in exactly how bright and how warm you want the light. Class I electrical standards apply, requiring a proper earth connection. Its IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor spaces away from bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or anywhere moisture collects regularly.
Where It Works Best
Kitchen islands and dining tables are the obvious choices, where the linear form mirrors the table geometry and spreads light evenly along the work or eating surface. The shorter shades suit standard ceiling heights better than tall cylinder versions. It also works in long, narrow kitchens where you need ambient light distributed horizontally rather than pooled in one spot.
Design Details
The proportion between the compact cylinders and the French gold bar is carefully judged. Too tall and they'd overwhelm a standard kitchen. Too short and they'd read as insignificant. This balance hits a sweet spot for rooms where visual interest matters but headroom is at a premium. Iron and glass construction keeps it substantial without bulk.

Questions People Ask
What's the difference between cognac and copper glass?
Cognac is slightly deeper in tone, more golden brown. Copper reads more orange. Both warm the light, but cognac feels a touch more sophisticated and less obviously coloured.
Can I use this in a kitchen with a standard 2.4m ceiling?
Yes. A maximum drop of 211cm leaves over 2 metres of headroom, which is comfortable for most kitchens. Plan your exact drop height during installation based on your island or table height.
Are the bulbs included?
No. This pendant requires three G9 bulbs purchased separately, which gives you flexibility on warmth, brightness and whether to use dimmable options.
