What's the point of the inner frosted globe if I can't see it?
That's exactly the design intention. The outer glass gives you the shape and colour, while the inner globe does the hard work of light diffusion. You get the benefits of both without the visual complication.

Will three lights be bright enough?
Three 10W G9 bulbs gives a decent spread of light for a smaller space. If you need more flexibility, dimmable bulbs let you dial the brightness up and down.

How is this different from the 12 light Tamworth?
