Seven Lights in a Row Over the Kitchen Island
This linear version of the Roding design arranges seven smoked glass spheres in a straight line below an antique copper frame, with a G9 lamp holder inside each globe. The length makes it particularly practical for kitchen islands, long dining tables or breakfast bars where a single run of lights spreads illumination evenly along the surface below without needing multiple separate pendants.
Choosing Your Finish
The antique copper brings warmth to the metalwork, leaning away from the clinical coolness of chrome or stainless steel. The opal and copper toned glass in the spheres means each globe catches and reflects light slightly differently, giving visual interest and texture rather than a uniform, repetitive look.
How It Works
Seven G9 lamp holders sit inside individual smoked glass spheres, creating a warm, diffused light across the whole length of the fitting. The antique copper frame meets Class I electrical standards, so an earth connection is needed at installation. The IP20 rating means this pendant is for dry indoor areas only, making it unsuitable for kitchens with high steam output from cooking ranges or any bathroom environments.
Where It Works Best
This pendant is ideal over a kitchen island, breakfast bar or long dining table where you want light spread evenly along a work surface or eating area. The linear design is much more practical than a round pendant in these spaces, and the antique copper finish suits kitchen schemes from industrial to farmhouse to something more contemporary depending on how the rest of the room is styled.
Design Details
The seven glass spheres are hand selected and finished for colour variation, so each one has slightly different opacity and tone which creates visual depth and prevents the line from feeling static or repetitive. The antique copper frame is engineered to support the weight evenly along its length without sagging or visible strain, and the finishing on the metalwork has a gently aged appearance rather than being completely uniform.

Questions People Ask
How long is this pendant?
The full length is 110cm, so it works well over islands or tables up to about 120cm long. The maximum drop from the ceiling can be adjusted up to 134cm.
Can I use this with fewer bulbs?
Yes, you can run it with seven, five, three or just one bulb if you prefer. Having them all on gives the full effect, but dimming or using fewer bulbs creates a softer atmosphere.
Are the bulbs included?
No, this pendant takes seven G9 bulbs which are sold separately. Dimmable versions will give you more control over the overall brightness.
