How It Works

Four G9 lamp holders are fitted behind the smoked glass, each taking a capsule bulb rated up to 10W, not included. It's dimmable when dimmable bulbs are fitted, and it's wired to Class I electrical standards, requiring an earth connection during installation. This fitting has an IP20 rating, so it's intended for dry indoor use only rather than bathrooms or anywhere damp.

Where It Works Best

Because of its IP20 rating, Farnley is best kept to dry rooms such as a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway rather than a bathroom. With four lamps spread along the fitting, it gives a decent amount of light, so it works well as a stand alone wall light or paired either side of a chimney breast or mirror.

Design Details

The smoked glass softens what would otherwise be a fairly bright four lamp fitting, while the metal frame underneath, made from iron and stainless steel, keeps the whole thing feeling solid rather than delicate. It's a design that trades brightness for atmosphere.
