This is the larger, ten light version of the Farnley pendant, with slim rods of smoked glass fanning out from a polished nickel frame. The rods can be set vertically for a tighter, cylindrical shape or angled out diagonally if you want something with more texture and movement, so the same fitting can be arranged two different ways depending on the look you're after.

The frame here is a bright polished nickel paired with smoked glass rods, giving the fitting a slightly moodier tone than a clear glass version would. Other finishes may be offered elsewhere across the Farnley range, so it's worth checking if you want to pick something to match existing metalwork in the room.

How It Works

Ten G9 capsule bulbs sit behind the glass, each rated at 10W maximum, and these aren't supplied so you'll need to source your own. It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs, a standard dimmer switch won't do the job on its own. Electrically it's built to Class I standards, which means it needs an earth connection as part of the wiring. Its IP20 rating means it's designed for dry indoor rooms, not anywhere exposed to splashing or damp.

Where It Works Best

With ten arms and a 40cm diameter, this is a proper centrepiece, at home over a dining table, in an open plan living space, or hung down a stairwell where you can appreciate it from more than one angle. It also works well in a bedroom or hallway if you want a bit more presence than a standard pendant would give you.
