Chelmsford takes a sputnik style arrangement of narrow glass tubes, finished in a mix of smoked and frosted glass on a polished chrome frame, and builds it into a semi flush fitting with 8 lights. The staggered lengths of the tubes create a three dimensional cluster effect that looks good from any angle, which makes it a strong option for a room where the ceiling light is also a talking point.
Being semi flush rather than a drop pendant, it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms with lower ceilings as well as taller ones, and it is a popular choice above a kitchen island or dining table where you want a wide spread of light without a fitting hanging too low.
