Chelmsford takes the sputnik idea and runs with it, with sixteen narrow glass tubes in amber and champagne tones arranged around a polished chrome frame to build up a full, three dimensional shape rather than a flat cluster. Seen from below or from across the room, the varying tube lengths give the fitting a lot of depth and make it a genuine focal point.
The chrome finish keeps the overall look bright and current, while the coloured glass softens the light and adds warmth to the room. It is particularly well suited to kitchen islands and dining tables, though it also works nicely as a striking centrepiece in an open plan living space with the ceiling height to do it justice.
