Installation requires an adaptor as part of the fitting process, which your electrician will be familiar with. It's dimmable if fitted with dimmable bulbs. Electrically it's Class I, meaning it needs an earth connection. The IP20 rating means it's suited to dry indoor spaces only, so it isn't designed for bathrooms or anywhere it could be exposed to moisture.
