Elstead Verity Single Bathroom Wall Light - Brushed Brass

A torch reimagined for the wall

Verity takes the classic torchiere and pares it back to a single vertical line: a slender steel column, finished in brushed brass and tapering to a sharp point, rises just over half a metre before meeting a faceted glass shade cut in a crisp diamond pattern. It projects around 20cm from the wall, reading more like a piece of sculpture than a fitting.

Finish

The brushed brass plating gives the whole piece a warm, softly matte gold tone rather than a mirror shine, so the faceted glass shade above does most of the sparkling. Every edge on the column and backplate is bevelled, catching the light differently depending on where you're standing. The same design is also available in polished chrome and polished gold, so a run of mirrors or a pair of fittings either side of a cabinet can be matched to the rest of your bathroom hardware.

How It Works

A single 3.5W LED G9 bulb sits inside the cut glass shade, throwing light both upward through the crystal facets and gently outward into the room. Fit a dimmable bulb and the light responds to a dimmer switch, so you can take it from a discreet backdrop glow to something brighter. This fitting is wired directly into the wall, so we always recommend a qualified electrician installs it.

Where It Works Best

The Elstead Name

Verity comes from Elstead, a British decorative lighting group and distributor whose roots trace back to The Elstead Forge in Alton, Hampshire, and which remains led by the Lucas family today. Across the range, Elstead pairs traditional metalwork with contemporary detailing, and this faceted glass torchiere is a good example of that pairing.
