The Collingwood UL010 is a small universal LED spotlight designed to earn its keep anywhere outside: a border, a driveway, the edge of a pond, or fully submerged inside one. The head tilts and rotates through a full 360 degrees on its mounting bracket, so once it's fixed down you can angle it precisely at whatever needs lighting, a specimen tree, a garden wall, a step, or the surface of a water feature.

316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel

This version is made from 316 stainless steel, the marine grade also used in boat fittings and coastal architecture because it holds up so well against salt air and damp ground. The lamp housing has a ribbed heat sink around a clear lens, sitting on a solid square mounting plate, and the look is plain and confident rather than fussy, the kind of fitting that reads as a piece of quality hardware rather than a garden ornament.

How It Works

Inside is an integrated 3W LED module rated at 80 CRI, offered in a choice of 2700K, 3000K or 4000K so you can match it to the rest of your outdoor lighting. It's Class III, which means it runs on low voltage rather than mains, so it needs a separate LED driver, not included, and fittings are wired in series from that one driver. It's dimmable, but only with a suitable low voltage dimmable driver. It arrives with 3 metres of rubberised outdoor cable and a stainless mounting plate with fixing holes, ready to bolt down to decking, a wall or the ground.

Where It Works Best

Because it's IP68 rated and submersible to a depth of 9 metres, the UL010 can be dropped straight into a pond or fountain to light the water from within, or mounted dry to uplight planting, a tree, a boundary wall or a run of steps. It suits coastal gardens especially well, where the 316 stainless steel resists the corrosion that would eventually mark a lesser metal.
