A Spotlight That Can Be Aimed, Not Just Switched On

The 1901 Rotatable Spotlight sits part way into the ceiling rather than lying flush or hanging fully proud. That semi recessed fit gives it a bit more shape than a standard downlight, while the head still swings a full 360° and tilts 90° once it's fitted. Point it at a wall, a piece of art or a run of shelving, and it stays put until you decide to move it again.

This version comes in an all white aluminium finish, made to blend into a painted ceiling rather than stand out from it. The body and rotating head share the same clean, unfussy shape, so the fitting reads as part of the room rather than a visible fixture.

How It Works

• Built on Collingwood's 1901 engine, rated at 9.6W
• Choose from 2700K extra warm white, 3000K warm white, 4000K cool white, or a dim to warm setting that runs down to 1800K
• CRI90+ for accurate colour rendering
• Beam angle options of 12°, 24°, 45° or 50°, so the same fitting can throw a tight spot or a wider wash
• Dims via mains, 1 to 10V or DALI, with the driver supplied and wired in by cable
• Head rotates 360° and tilts 90° for aiming after installation

Where It Works Best

Because it's IP44 rated, this spotlight is happy in bathroom zone 2 as well as drier rooms. Can I use this in a bathroom?
Yes. It's IP44 rated and suitable for bathroom zone 2.

Does it come with a fire hood?
No. The fitting isn't fire rated on its own, so a BDLFH2 fire hood needs to be bought separately if fire rating is required for your ceiling.

Can I change the angle after it's been installed?
Yes. The head rotates 360° and tilts 90°, so it can be redirected at any point after fitting.
