The Utopia Moon 4 Light Semi Flush Pendant sits close to the ceiling but still makes a real statement in a room. Spanning 90cm across, it holds four lights within a circular frame, giving the impression of a ring floating just below the ceiling rather than a single central fitting. It suits rooms with lower ceilings or open plan layouts where a fully suspended pendant would feel too heavy, while still offering the visual presence of a larger design.

The matt black finish

This version is finished in matt black steel, paired with glass detailing that softens the overall look and catches the light from the bulbs within. The matt surface has a quiet, understated quality rather than a glossy shine, so it tends to sit well against warmer wood tones, brass fittings, and pale walls alike, working as either a subtle addition or a deliberate contrast piece depending on the rest of the room.

How it works: bulbs, fitting and installation

The fitting takes four G9 bulbs, each rated at 3W, and these are not supplied, so you will need to add your own when you install it. It is dimmable, but only if paired with dimmable bulbs, so check the bulbs you choose are compatible if you want that flexibility. As with any mains wired ceiling light, we would always recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than tackling the wiring yourself.

Where it works best

Its shape and lower profile make it a natural fit for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways where you want good general light without a fitting hanging too low. It also works well in kitchens, including over an island, where its ring form can echo a run of worktop or a table below without dominating the space above it.
