A Linear Ceiling Pendant for Dining Tables and Kitchen Islands

This linear ceiling pendant is built around a row of five lights, giving a long, low glow that suits a dining table, breakfast bar or kitchen island rather than a single central point of light. The steel frame carries a run of glass shades along its length, so instead of one bulb doing all the work you get an even spread of light across a wider surface. It comes with an adjustable drop, so you can set the hanging height to suit your ceiling and the table beneath it.

Satin Brushed Gold and Gloss White Glass

The frame is finished in a satin brushed gold, a soft, low sheen tone that sits between warm brass and gold without feeling too polished. As with any brushed metal finish, expect gentle variation from piece to piece, part of what gives it a handled, considered feel rather than a flat, uniform one. Alongside the metalwork, gloss white glass shades house each light, adding a clean, bright contrast to the gold and helping the fitting sit comfortably in both traditional and contemporary kitchens or dining rooms.

How This Pendant Light Works

The pendant takes five G9 bulbs, each rated up to 3W; bulbs are not supplied, so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits the room. If you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and pair the pendant with a compatible dimmer switch, the light can be dimmed; with standard bulbs it will not dim. It is wired to Class II electrical standards, and, as with any mains wired ceiling fitting, we would recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician. The pendant weighs 2.6kg, so it is worth checking that your ceiling fixing point can comfortably support the weight before installation.

Thanks to its horizontal spread of light, it works particularly well above a dining table, kitchen island or breakfast bar, anywhere you want a run of light rather than a single pool. It also suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, where a linear fitting can add visual interest along a wall or run of ceiling. This pendant is rated IP20, which means it is designed for dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or other areas prone to splashing or humidity.
