Utopia Frontier Curved Arm Wall Light - Textured Black & Clear Glass

The Frontier is a curved arm wall light built for outside your front door, along a garden wall, or anywhere else that needs a bit of directional light with real presence. The arm sweeps forward from a compact backplate before curling down to hold a glass shade, giving it a silhouette that reads as more sculptural than a standard box style bulkhead.

This finish: textured black with clear glass

This version pairs a textured black body, made from die cast aluminium and steel so it holds crisp lines and resists corrosion, with a clear glass shade that lets the light spread rather than boxing it in. Because the black finish has a texture to it rather than a flat gloss, expect some gentle variation piece to piece rather than a perfectly uniform sheen. Together the two materials give a look that sits comfortably against brick, render or timber cladding without drawing too much attention to itself.

How this exterior wall light works

It takes a single 10W LED bulb with an E27 fitting, which is not included, so you'll need to add your own on installation. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb, the fitting itself supports dimming, though the finish depends on which bulb and dimmer switch you pair it with. It's rated Class II, meaning it's double insulated. As with any mains wired fitting, we'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician rather than tackling the wiring yourself.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, this light is built to shrug off rain and splashing from any direction, which is exactly what you want from a wall light mounted outside. It suits front entrances, porches, garden walls and anywhere else exposed to the weather, giving you a bit of practical light for coming home after dark or lighting a path through the garden.
