The smoke plated glass on this Sycamore wall light gives it a moodier, more atmospheric feel than a clear or opal shade, and it's paired here with a brass finish and a satin black switch for a bit of contrast. The round shade is 15cm in diameter and the fitting takes an E14 lamp, so it's easy to find a bulb that gives you the tone of light you're after.
Because it switches at the wall, this is a straightforward light to live with in a hallway, living room or bedroom, with no separate switch to install. It also suits snugs or reading corners where a softer, tinted light is more welcome than a bright, clear glow.
