Is the opal shade dimmable?
Yes, as long as you're using LED bulbs that are themselves dimmable and you have a compatible dimmer installed. You'll notice the warmth and spread of the light changes beautifully as you dim it.

Can I use this in a bathroom?
Yes. It's IP44 rated, so it works in bathroom zones 1 and 2. That means above a basin or beside a mirror, but not inside the shower area itself.

Why is this heavier than the clear glass version?
Opal glass is denser than clear glass, which is why this version weighs about 250g more. The extra weight doesn't affect how it mounts; it's just something to be aware of when installing.
